A(H1N1) Flu, The Law Community, and the Filipino Society

       I was told by the high ranking officers of the Student Council that a sophomore student was confirmed to have contracted the A(H1N1) flu, and that her parents called up expressing anger on why classes have not been suspended for the entire Law School . The same student officers have also pleaded with me to suspend all classes in the Law School for at least ten (10) days. .......

After winning the 2008 Philippine Regionals held in February 2008 in Cebu City under the auspices of the University of San Carlos Law School, beating the teams from the UP College of Law and the FEU-De la Salle JD/MBA Program.....





 

  PART II

    THE 2008 ASIA CUP INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN LAW MOOT COURT COMPETITION

The Ateneo Law Team, officially representing the Philippines, won the CHAMPIONSHIP AWARD in the 2008 ASIA CUP INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN LAW MOOT COURT COMPETITION held in Tokyo, Japan, from 26 August to 02 September, 2008, as well as garnering the OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT MEMORIAL AWARD.  It is now the third time that the Ateneo Law Team has won the Asia Cup.





LEARNING AND TEACHING IN THE MIDST OF INTERNATIONAL AND COMPARATIVE LEGAL SYSTEM EXAMINATIONS

   In a letter to their alumni, Vice Dean for the Graduate Program and International Legal Studies, Prof. William P. Alford, shared the thrust of the Harvard Law School for "international and comparative legal studies permeate" the significant changes that have been effected in its J.D. program.
